ATTENTION!! > GOOGLE IS RECORDING YOUR WEB HISTORY!

As a Internet professional and a big Google fan I was quite upset to find out that google has been playing big brother by recording my web history. HERE IS HOW YOU CAN STOP THAT.

FIRST: Google can only record your web activity if you have any sort of google account. So, if you have Gmail or Picassa, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google Webmaster or any other account that you log on on Google then your web activity is being monitored and recorded.

HOW TO STOP IT: Visit the link below, log on to Web History and if you see a list of your web activity that means that google is recording. Find the link that says "Delete Web History". Click on that and automatically Google Web History will be paused.

  1. ATTENTION!! > GOOGLE IS RECORDING YOUR BLOG HISTRIONICS!

It's a service they offer. Anyway, I think I'll enable it just to spite you.

You can easily opt-out right when you sign up for your Google account too. But you conveniently left that out of your article.

  2. Look, I do understand that it is marketed as a service, but the truth is that the data collected is for their benefit more than yours.

I am truly afraid of personalized search results, up to now we have the ability to do search engine optimization and the same rules apply to small or big businesses. If everybody is getting personalized search results then chances are we will need to rely on AdWords to land further up.

And regarding your comment that there is an opt-out when you sign on, I didn't even know what I was exactly agreeing to and I don't many people know either.

Take a look at the PC World article link, there is some interesting info, and there is no need to agree with me, so don't waste your time spiting me :)
